SUMMARY OF THE SESSION ON OPPORTUNITIES FOR INVESTMENT IN DEFENCE AND AEROSPACE

VCCI, AP Chamber, and FAPCCI jointly organized a session on Opportunities for Investment in Defence and Aerospace. The session began with opening remarks by VCCI Secretary Mr. P. Rajesh, followed by a presentation by Mr. Nidhin Dominic.

Mr. Nidhin highlighted various government schemes such as IDEX and development funds, with a focus on non-conventional sectors like semiconductors, drones, rare metals, and more. He also elaborated on government initiatives and DRDO’s support for companies entering the defence and aerospace ecosystem.

Mr. Srinivas Raju Chairman SIDM, Andhra Pradesh, spoke about the proactive steps taken by the State Government, including the formation of a core team comprising members from ISRO and the defence sector to establish defence clusters in four key areas of the state. He emphasized the advantage of having a dedicated SIDM state chapter in Andhra Pradesh to facilitate integration into this ecosystem.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, followed by closing remarks from Mr. Sampath, Vice President of VCCI YW.
