MEDIA INTERACTION ON UNION BUDGET 2026–27

A joint media interaction on the key highlights of the Union Budget 2026–27 was conducted by the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), FAPCCI, and the AP Chamber of Commerce.

The interaction was addressed by Sri Sudarsan Swamy Mangalagiri, President – VCCI, Sri Kankatala Mallikarjuna Rao, Past President – FAPCCI, Sri K.V. Krishna Kumar, Vice President – VCCI, Sri Sampath Kethavarapu, President-VCCI YW, Sri Sobhan Prakash, Chairman – AP Chamber (Vizag Zone) and VCCI Members Sri Pyda Prasad and Sri T SS Vinay.

During the interaction, all three Chambers appreciated the Union Budget for its fiscally responsible, no-freebie approach, while focusing on productive and sustainable economic growth. The Chambers welcomed the Budget’s strong emphasis on MSMEs, recognised as the primary growth engine of the Indian economy.

Key highlights noted included the ₹10,000 crore SME Growth Fund, enhanced support for micro enterprises, TReDS reforms to ensure faster payments to MSMEs, compliance simplification measures, and record capital expenditure creating opportunities in infrastructure, logistics, and manufacturing.

The Chambers also appreciated the Budget’s focus on defence manufacturing, GCCs, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, renewables, and port-led development, which is expected to generate significant opportunities for Andhra Pradesh and Visakhapatnam-based MSMEs across manufacturing, services, exports, and ancillary sectors.

VCCI reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating awareness, execution support, and institutional linkages to help members effectively leverage the opportunities arising from the Union Budget 2026–27.
