Our District Collector & Magistrate Shri. Dr. A Mallikharjuna Garu, IAS met with members of the Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other trade bodies at a meeting organised by VCCI on Friday 20th Jan 2023 in Daspalla hotel, Visakhapatnam.

The District Collector was briefed about the 90 years history of VCCI by President R Satish who in his address to the gathering and also briefed on the activities conducted by Chamber with regard to GST, Interaction Meeting with Honourable Minister Shri Amarnath Garu, and no plastic drive initiative by GVMC Commissioner. Cyber Crime awareness program with Police Commissioner Etc.

The District Collector Shri. A Mallikharjuna Garu, IAS was addressing a session on Future of Visakhapatnam Growth & Opportunities was very interesting and insightful for members and other attendees in the meeting.

In his address he told that AP stood at the first position in ease of doing business. He also told that Visakhapatnam is one of the india’s major cities with huge potential for growth in all sectors. Also mentioned about proposed industrial park of 155 acres near anadapuram, two major convention like global investor summit and G20 conference in the month of mar 2023. He was also mentioning on the industrial corridor roads development, beach corridor roads and other city areas for development. He mentioned about the foundation stone laid for bogapuram airport and Adani data centre in the city shortly. The skill development which is crucial for the growth of the city is also addressed as mentioning national skill development council is planning to establish one centre in our city shortly and the same being planned in all other cities on AP.

The session was very interactive. They was the question raised by Mr. Satyanarayana Garu from Visakha Goods Transport for the allocation of land 50 to 60 acers towards transport Nagar to accommodate the Goods vehicles. The collector responded very positive way and felt that it was a very important issue to address.

Along with the interactive session VCCI also organised a member orientation program for VCCI New members, felicitated Longest Lifetime Members of VCCI and also distributed VCCI Membership certificates to the members by respected District Collector...

Mr. Rolland Willams Hony secretary told that VCCI’s main activity was issuing certificate of Origin for all exporters and was the first chamber to issue the same , Now the same was digitised and online too. Our Past President DV Raju Garu mentioned about the benefits that industries had from the chamber.
