INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH INDONESIAN CONSUL STRENGTHENING INDO-INDONESIAN TIES
VCCI hosted an interactive session with Mr. Widya Parsaoran Gultom, Consul (Socio-Cultural) at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, Mumbai.The meeting focused on fostering cultural and business collaborations between India and Indonesia.
During the session, VCCI President Mr. M Sudarsan Swamy and the Consul discussed the cultural similarities between the two countries and explored opportunities for joint business activities. Key sectors such as renewable energy, sea products, startups, and essential goods required by Indonesia were identified as potential areas for collaboration and trade.
Mr. Widya extended a cordial invitation to VCCI to participate in the Indonesia Trade Expo 2025, highlighting it as a valuable platform to strengthen business ties and help bridge the trade deficit. He emphasized Indonesia’s commitment to expanding long-term business relations with India, viewing it as a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership.
The session was attended by VCCI Executive Committee members, Youth Wing President who shared their views and expressed keen interest in exploring opportunities with Indonesia.
