Navy Day 2018 in India would be celebrated at Tuesday, on 4th of December in RK Beach Visakhapatnam.
The Indian Navy is a very important wing of Indian Defence body. India in its north is well protected by the mystical Himalayas. As we travel from the west towards south and from south, up towards the north-eastern direction, the boundaries of our country mainly comprise of coastal borders. This makes the role of our Indian Navy extremely important. Our Navy not only helps in securing the marine borders of the country, it also helps in enhancing the international relations of India through seaport visits.
December 4 was declared Navy Day to mark the successful operation and celebrate the country’s naval forces.
Indian Naval Day focuses on celebrating the role and achievements of the Indian Navy. It is widely celebrated with parades, military displays, naval band performances, wreath laying ceremonies at war memorials, official speeches etc. Although Navy Day is not a public holiday, it is observed with great pomp. The largest celebrations are held in the capital and numerous port cities.
